90 Years of Kuhn W. S.r.l. – Celebrating a Strong Sales Partnership in the Italian Industrial Chain Market

Kuhn W. S.r.l. celebrated its 90th anniversary at its headquarters in Bologna. As a long-standing and reliable partner, the company has distributed Wippermann and Witra products across Italy for decades. "It was a great honor to take part in the celebration, as Kuhn is one of our longest-standing partners," said Christian Hamann and Roger Paul, Managing Directors of Wippermann junior GmbH and Wippermann jr. GmbH Trading, respectively.

A Founding Partner

In her anniversary speech before around 100 invited guests, Loretta Alberti, owner of Kuhn, spoke about the special relationship with Wippermann. The partnership began in 1950, based on a friendship between company founder Walter Kuhn and Erich Wippermann.

The first contract between the two companies, appointing Kuhn as the Italian representative for Wippermann roller chains, was concluded on July 3, 1950. "Both companies were founding partners in the development years of Europe. The strong personal relationship between the former managing directors has significantly shaped the cooperation and continues to have an impact up to now," said Paul.

The partnership agreement laid the foundation for a joint exploitation of the Italian market. Since then, Kuhn has established itself as a key player and strengthened Wippermann’s presence in Italy for decades. Today, Kuhn manages the full distribution of the Wippermann Group’s industrial chain portfolio.
