New stainless steel chain wear indicator – detect chain elongation early in roller and leaf chains
With Wippermann's new chain wear indicator, you can check the condition of your roller and leaf chains quickly and precisely. The tool is available in various versions for roller and leaf chains and allows you to carry out simple checks directly at the machine.
Chain elongation is an unavoidable process during the operation of roller and leaf chains. If it goes unnoticed for too long, elongation can lead to malfunctions and increased wear on other components. Regular monitoring of chain condition therefore helps to identify potential problems early and schedule maintenance in good time..
With Wippermann's new chain wear indicator, you can check chain wear quickly and reliably. Simply placing the indicator against the chain immediately shows whether a critical wear limit has been reached. Rear stops enable precise and straightforward use even with smaller chains – such as size 06B. With regular use, you can keep track of your chain condition at all times.
Versions for different chain types
The chain wear indicators are available in various versions precisely tailored to different chain types. These include versions for roller chains according to ISO 606, for example 06A (ASA) and 06B (European type). In addition, matching wear indicators are available for leaf chains of the LL series according to ISO 4347. Further versions are also available on request.
Stainless steel for demanding production environments
In hygienically sensitive production environments such as the food or pharmaceutical industry, particularly high demands are placed on material durability. Regular cleaning and disinfection processes also place additional stress on the tools used. The chain wear indicators are made of corrosion-resistant V2A stainless steel and are therefore ideally suited for use in such environments. All markings are permanently laser-engraved and remain clearly legible even after intensive cleaning.
