Wippermann presents chain measurement link at the 2015 HMI

Wippermann can look back on a successful 2015 HANNOVER TRADE FAIR with numerous visitors and many interesting discussions surrounding not only our modular, maintenance-free industrial chains and the new digital chain measurement link but also international growth.

This year's participation in the world's leading industrial trade fair was marked by several highlights which led to intensive exchange of expertise at our stand – including our broad range of maintenance-free chains and the modular product concept which enables customers around the globe to configure solutions for their drive concepts which are tailored to individual technical and economical requirements. Moreover, technical highlights such as the ZnAl-Flake coating as RoHS-compliant corrosion protection, the possible applications of the chains at temperature ranges between 100 and +250°C or the FDA approval for our polymer bearings material convinced the industry visitors of the broad range of applications.  

One prime example of Wippermann's market leadership in the segment of maintenance-free chains is the new Triathlon KS which was presented to a large audience for the first time at the HANNOVER TRADE FAIR. The first maintenance-free chain with polymer bearings for demanding applications with corrosion protection and full load-bearing capacity offers solutions for a wide range of applications in which other chains reach their limits.

We drive success – the development of an intelligent digital chain measurement link which was presented for the first time at the 2015 HANNOVER TRADE FAIR was met with keen interest. Companies will be able to independently integrate the innovative measurement link as a customisable component for the digitalisation of their work processes. Numerous technical and economic optimisation potentials could be identified in discussions with long-standing and prospective customers – from optimum chain design to the determination of real load data and the optimisation of the system in terms of capacity utilisation and load peaks through to monitoring of the hoisting and conveying equipment. This makes the concept of the industrial chain 4.0 a perfect symbol of Wippermann's corporate philosophy: developing tailor-made drive solutions for our customers' success.
