Site Dialog: Mayor and Business Development from Kirchlengern Visit Wippermann’s Headquarters in Hagen

For over 25 years, Wippermann has operated a high-performance logistics and service center in Kirchlengern. During their visit to Hagen, Mayor Rüdiger Meier and Business Developer Oliver Weisheit of the East Westphalian municipality took the opportunity to have an open exchange with the company management – a conversation with valuable insights for the future.

Mayor Rüdiger Meier and Business Developer Oliver Weisheit from Kirchlengern visited the Wippermann headquarters in Hagen with great interest. The main objective was to gain a closer look at the production site. Furthermore, an in-depth exchange on the general conditions at the logistics and service center in Kirchlengern took place. Mayor Meier pointed out: “We aim to provide the best possible support for companies to optimally develop in our municipality. That’s why we rely on open and continuous dialog with local businesses.”

Dr. Stephan Gerber, Managing Director of Wippermann, added: “With the construction of our new production and logistics site in 2017, we made a very conscious decision to remain loyal to the Kirchlengern location. In addition to the excellent infrastructure, we particularly appreciate the reliable, personal dialog with local politicians.”

Production depth in Hagen impresses

 

In addition to the constructive discussions with the Wippermann management, the representatives of the municipality of Kirchlengern were also given an insight into the Wippermann product world. Head of Engineering Dr. Jakob Küpferle explained the performance of the chain and drive solutions and illustrated the path from raw material to the precision product “industrial chain” along the individual production steps.

The guests were impressed by the company’s high production depth. Mayor Meier noted: “This is an example of what it means to create real added value in Germany. We’re proud that the Kirchlengern logistics site represents a part of this value chain in our municipality.

Dr. Gerber also drew a positive conclusion: “We were delighted to be able to introduce Mayor Meier and Business Developer Mr. Weisheit to the comprehensive drive and manufacturing expertise of our modern, traditional company. The open discussion provided valuable insights – a strong basis for continued cooperation between our sites.”

Both parties agreed to continue their constructive exchange to make even greater use of the location's potential in the future – an important step for successfully navigating economically challenging times and volatile global markets.
